This classic toy shop, named after its founder, Frederick August Otto Schwarz, traces its origins to Baltimore in 1863, where Schwarz first had a toy store. By 1870, Schwarz realized he belonged in the big city and moved, store and all, to New York, where he set up the “Schwarz Toy Bazaar” at 765 Broadway.
