The Trump World Tower on First Avenue is the tallest apartment building in the world; condos are worth as much as $14 million, and one–bedroom apartments can rent for $9,000 monthly. Sheathed in dark chocolate–brown glass (it appears black from a distance), the tower rises ominously above the United Nations buildings. This featureless building stands out on the skyline only for its height.
