This square tower is easily recognized by its blunt pyramidal top; the holes that look like round windows are actually air ducts to ventilate the mechanical rooms at the top of the building. Unlike most recently built skyscrapers, the tower is clad in masonry rather than glass and it is this, along with the setback design of the lower floors, that helps the building blend in with older NYC architecture.
