Skyscraper Museum

Battery Park City

At the end of the 20th century, twenty–five of the hundred tallest buildings in the world were located in New York—far more than any other city. So it makes sense that the world’s first museum devoted exclusively to the history and architecture of skyscrapers should be in this city as well. Under the guidance of Carol Willis, skyscraper historian and aficionado, the Skyscraper Museum has helped bring skyscraper appreciation to new heights since it opened in 1997.
