Central Park Zoo

Central Park, near 5th Avenue and 64th Street

Officially known as the Wildlife Center, the Central Park Zoo is nestled in a cozy corner of the park just off Fifth Avenue. The animals frolic in little habitats including the Polar Circle tank, the Sea Lion Pool, and a Children’s Zoo (no, they don’t exhibit children). It’s a nice addition to any walk through the park, highlighted by a pass under the delightful Delacorte Musical Clock, which has animal figurines that dance on the hour.
