Village Halloween Parade
Holloween-October 31st
6th Avenue from Spring Street to 23rd Street
Pagan revelry in Greenwich Village peaks every year on October 31st as a crowd of 50,000 takes to the streets to celebrate creativity, costumes, and ghoulish cheer. Although people from all over the city take part in the parade, it retains a distinctly Greenwich Village bohemian vibe. The costumes are fabulous, the people are amazing, and individual creativity gets free rein for the night. The parade is only the beginning; afterward, everyone mingles in the streets—especially along Christopher Street—to see and be seen until the wee hours of the morning.
