Lights… Camera… Action! With dozens of big–budget movies shot in New York City every year, plus hundreds of television shows and advertisements, there’s always some production being filmed on the busy city streets. Crowds often gather to watch and it can indeed be a beautiful sight, as stars and extras move through their parts and the camera takes its own choreographed role in the dance, all sparkling under the bright klieg lights. But most New Yorkers are so jaded they just find it annoying; “Damn these movie stars,” they grumble, “always blocking the roads.”
